Wanted: Women and Babies. Where: Shotgun Ridge, Montana. When: As soon as possible! The Sheriff Surrenders... He guarded his town with an eagle eye…but even Sheriff Cheyenne Bodine couldn’t save himself from the outrageous Shotgun Ridge matchmakers. Seems they’d “rented” his house to lovely surrogate mom-to-be, Emily Vincent. And while the big city beauty would tempt a saint to live in sin, Cheyenne’s lawman’s oath permitted no such indiscretions. Sending Emily home would protect and serve them both… Though the proud country lawman stole her breath, Emily knew her stay was temporary. Except…when she told Cheyenne that the babies she carried were his orphaned kin, she found herself under house arrest. The bail? Bonds of matrimony! “These are imperfect and loving characterizations that remain with the readers long after the last page is turned. Indeed, a character driven romance that explores the joy and pain of birth and death, CHEYENNE’S LADY belongs on the keeper shelf. Very highly recommended.” –Cindy Penn, Word Wrap review editor. (Winner of the WordWeaving Award for Excellence) “With a great sense of warm emotions, Mindy Neff has penned a keeper in CHEYENNE’S LADY.” –Romantic Times Magazine (4 ½ stars) Bachelors of Shotgun Ridge--Book 4--Single, sexy and soon-to-be wed!

Cheyenne Bodine is the county Sheriff located in Shotgun Ridge, Montana. Emily Vincent is a former resident brought back because her sister and Cheyenne's brother entrusted her to be their surrogate mother for their twins. Tragically, the couple were killed in a car crash, and Emily is needing help when these twins are born. Who better than the biological uncle, Cheyenne Bodine? Cheyenne agrees to help on one condition: they have to marry first. Emily agrees to a 6 month marriage until she can give birth and learn how to mother the twins with Cheyenne's help. Platonic relationship, right? Well, the best laid plans, etc... Both Emily and Cheyenne had secretly been attracted to each other years before in high school, then Emily's family moved away. Now that attraction is starting to resurface, and multiplies after the twins are born and both Emily and Cheyenne are spending so much time together raising their babies. Emily works on her advertising project she has been working on for 2 years from Cheyenne's home, and hoping to earn that Vice President position. When the project comes to fruition, and she gets her promotion, she is ecstatic. That is until one of the twins comes down with a sudden fever and sends Emily and Cheyenne to the clinic to save their baby's life. Once the crisis is over, Cheyenne is bummed out over the end of the 6 month marriage deadline coming soon. Uncle John tells Cheyenne to ask Emily to stay, but Cheyenne is scared to do that because his last fiancee left him when he asked her to marry him and move to Shotgun Ridge permanently. Cheyenne decides to just go to Seattle with Emily when she leaves to go back to her job. When he tells her his decision (in front of most of the town's population), he gets a big surprise. The old geezers who have been matchmaking for months now, are gleeful, and are planning to begin their next project to marry another bachelor off to one of the women they have brought to Shotgun Ridge. This was a touching story of selfless love for family, and a beautiful story of love between two wonderful characters. This series has such good side characters in this town, and Mindy Neff tells great stories. I look forward to October when we get to read Dr. Chance's story.
