I've been a huge fan of this author and I have read most of her books by now but I can honestly say this is one of my favorite books from her and I'm seriously loving our two main characters.This story follows Kane Legend and Scarlett Hunter, they have known each other for years but something happened to cause Kane to hate Scarlett. When she stops back into town for a party with her sister we see this first glimpse of the hate that Kane has for her but it is only the beginning. When they run into each other again at MKU, Kane has a plan to make Scarlett pay for her past mistakes. She just wants to move on from past trauma but she also can't seem to stay away from Kane, and he seems just as torn when it comes to Scarlett. Can these two finally find some kind of common ground or are they destined to be enemies forever?I don't know what it says about me but I'm hooked on Kane Legend... like I loved Jake Thorn from the Rosewood series but that love is nothing compared to my love for Kane! He's definitely a little full of himself and his football skills but he's earned his bragging rights. His initial hate for Scarlett runs deep but reading his internal conflict about his ever changing emotions was one of my favorite aspects of the book. He is the kind of character that acts with out thinking and then later realizes the potential ramifications of those actions.Scarlett was one of the most broken characters I have come across recently and I couldn't help but feel for her. She has had a rough couple years but she is finally to the point she is trying to move on but Kane is there to punish her. She is fairly defeated at first but it was nice to watch her grow as a character. She definitely has some secrets that get revealed throughout this book but I can tell there is more to the story.The plot is fantastic, there is so much hate, and steam and character development that I just couldn't put it down! I really liked the side characters and I'm honestly hoping that the author will continue to write additional installments about some of them in the future. This is the first book of a trilogy about Kane and Scarlett so be prepared for a shocking ending that you wont see coming.I honestly can't recommend this series enough, especially if you like romance stories that have steamy, hate filled, smexy scenes that will melt your kindle.I received an advanced copy from the author.
