She's loved him her whole life. But he can never know. The Dawson family has a whole new concern for Willow Creek when a huge developer wants to turn their town into something it's not. Their land is threatened. Their way of life is on the brink of change, and Decker might have different feelings than the rest about what would be a good move for their family. Faith Haws would do anything to protect her town, her way of life, and her grandpa's ranch. But when the developers come calling and the money could pay for the increasing medical bills, she might need to make some tough decisions for Grandpa that he no longer knows how to make. When Decker and Faith discover they're really on the same side, will old friendship turn into something more?Read a new series by Sophia Summers with all kinds of cowboy charm, a family of brothers, small town love and faith filled themes.

4.5 stars rounded up.Friends to love is one of my favorite tropes, and Faith and Decker have been friends all their life, but that's all. Decker never thought of Faith in "that way", but secretly Faith had been in love with Decker for so long. In addition to these two figuring out whether they wanted to move their relationship forward and how to go about do that, there's a developer who wants to buy up the property to build new stores and homes, which would change Willow Creek forever. Faith could sure use the money to pay for her grandpa's medical bills but she loves her town just the way it is. Is the right decision for her the right decision for the town?Faith isn't the only one tempted to sell to the developers. The Dawson ranch is struggling, which is why Decker is back home doing his part to help out, but the outlook isn't great. Some of the brothers want to sell a part of their land to the developers, but Decker doesn't which is causing tension in the Dawson family. This is a great friends to more story that shows that the transition from friends, even best friends, to love isn't always easy or smooth. Decker didn't want to risk his friendship with Faith, but all his hesitation made me wonder how much longer that girl was going to wait around for him to realize they would be wonderful together. Thank goodness for Mama Dawson who is a fount of wisdom for both Decker and Faith. I wish I had a Mama Dawson in my life--she's the best!I liked how the town finally came together to decide what to do. What worked for one person wouldn't necessarily work for another. I loved how faith played a big part in Decker and Faith's life and how it was worked into the story. It was simply a part of how the characters lived, and it doesn't come across as preachy.
